Match Report Game 1: Torrington Riptides 13–7 Plymouth Outlaws Plymouth Outlaws showed plenty of fight at Torrington but were undone by one difficult defensive inning as the Torrington Riptides claimed a 13-7 victory in Division 5. The Outlaws made a bright start, taking a first-inning lead. Nathan Joy singled to get things moving before Josh Harvey reached on an error that allowed Joy to score for the game's opening run. Torrington responded immediately, however, with three runs in the bottom of the inning, highlighted by RBI hits from Edward Willmott and Jess Cooper. After leaving runners stranded in the second, the Outlaws exploded in the third. Taff Mercer worked a leadoff walk before Morgan Parkinson sparked the rally with a double. Simon Pritchard drove in the first run of the inning, and Nathan Joy delivered the biggest hit, smashing a two-run double to centre field. Chris Peirce followed with an RBI single, and with the pressure still on, Joy capped the five-run inning by stealing home, giving Plymouth a 6-4 lead. Unfortunately, the advantage was short-lived. Torrington answered with an eight-run bottom of the third. A series of walks loaded the bases before timely hitting from Ed Keech, Joshua Owen and Michael Curtis set the stage for Edward Willmott, whose grand slam to deep left-centre put the home side firmly in control. The Outlaws continued to battle in the fourth when Josh Harvey singled and stole both second and third before Morgan Parkinson's RBI single reduced the deficit. Nathan Joy added another double in the fifth, but Plymouth couldn't string together another comeback as Torrington closed out the 13-7 win.

Match Report Game 2: Torrington Riptides 18–17 Plymouth Outlaws

Plymouth Outlaws produced their highest-scoring performance of the Division 5 season but were edged out 18-17 by the Torrington Riptides in a remarkable second game of the double-header at Torrington. In a game packed with momentum swings, the Outlaws scored 17 runs from nine hits, but Torrington's patience at the plate proved decisive as the home side drew a succession of walks to claim victory.

The Outlaws struck first in the opening inning. Chris Peirce doubled before Josh Harvey and Taff Mercer worked walks to load the bases. Rupert Morris then drove a two-run single into left-centre to give Plymouth an early 2-0 advantage. Torrington answered immediately with five runs in the bottom of the first to regain the lead.

Plymouth answered in style in the second. Bobby Trotman and Nathan McCarroll both base reached before Nathan Joy drove in a run with a single. Harvey followed with an RBI double, Morgan Parkinson lifted a sacrifice fly, and Morris collected his third RBI of the afternoon as the Outlaws scored five times to move back in front at 7-5.

The game swung again in the bottom of the second as Torrington took advantage of a succession of walks to score five runs and reclaim the lead. The Outlaws refused to back down, however, producing another four-run rally in the third. Chris Peirce's RBI single, Josh Harvey's run-scoring infield hit and Stuart Kellie's two-run single tied the contest once more.

Trailing by two entering the fourth, Plymouth saved their best until last. Rupert Morris, Simon Pritchard, Nathan McCarroll and Bobby Trotman all reached base before Kayden Dechkan forced home a run with a walk. The highlight followed moments later as Chris Peirce crushed a grand slam to deep left field, capping a dramatic six-run inning.
